This rum is from the West Indies Rum Distillery (WIRD) in Barbados and is based on molasses. The rum has been distilled in a series of pot stills in June 2000 and was bottled in July 2024. This rum has been aged for the largest part continental in an old ex-Bourbon barrel that already has been used multiple times. This is a heavy WIRD pot still expression and is famous as called “Rockley Style”. Only a few from these rum’s have been bottled.

Tasting Notes:
Light and balanced medicinal aromas with scents of rubber production, young white wood and wood polish. These are joined by lighter and fruitier aromas mainly citrus fruits and honey on  the palate.
 
General:
You can consider this Rockley Style Rum as lower in heavy esters and better in balance than most Rockley Style 2000 rums on the Market.
The typical medicinal, chemical and smokey notes are surely there, but tend to go to background leaving more room for the honey and more fruitier notes to come up front.
